Recruitment notification for Assistant Engineer(AE) posts in Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) is out based on a computer-based or offline screening test and personality test. The recruitment is for AE posts from the Civil Engineering discipline.

The recruitment will be for the post of Civil Assistant Engineers, Class-I (Gazetted) (on contract basis) based on a CBT(or offline) and then the personality test. Pay Scale

The posts are on contract basis on fixed emoluments i.e. Rs. 27,750/- as prescribed in the R & P Rules in the Department of Public works, Himachal Pradesh.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualification

Must Possess a regular full-time degree in Civil Engineering from an Institute / University duly approved/recognized by the AICTE / UGC or AMIE.

Desirable Qualification

Knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.

Age Limit

Between 18 years to 45 years.

Age of a candidate shall be reckoned as on 01.01.2020

How to Apply

• Eligible candidates must have to apply online through the official website of the Commission. Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted and will be rejected straightway.

• The candidates should be careful while entering their Mobile Numbers and e-mail IDs in the Online Recruitment Applications (ORA) for immediate intimation with regard to their application.

• The desirous & eligible candidate may click on the link “Apply Online” on the Home Page. The candidate will register and create his/ her profile on ‘One Time Registration’ and after logging into his/ her account in OTR. The list of advertisements will be displayed to the candidate on Page 3 of 10 dashboard. Candidate will apply for a particular post through portal. The application of the candidate will be submitted only after uploading of requisite documents as per advertisement.

Selection Procedure

Stage 1 will have a preliminary exam/screening test. Upon qualifying the screening test, te candidates will undergo a personality test.

Exam pattern

80 questions of multiple choice of degree level in Civil Engineering subject and 10 questions consisting General Knowledge of Himachal Pradesh and 10 questions consisting of General knowledge of National / International affairs of 2 hours duration.
