GATE 2021 Environmental Science - Syllabus and Sample Paper

This year GATE has launched two new papers. One of them is Environmental Science and Engineering (ES).

It opens up opportunities into Environmental Science studies. You will not have to study irrelevant subjects like structures to write this paper. It is purely on environmental-related studies. You can choose this as your primary paper in GATE if it interests you.

Who can write GATE ES as the second paper?

This year GATE has announced that third years can attempt GATE and also that a student can appear for two papers.

• Students who are writing Civil Engineering as a primary paper can attempt Environmental Science as a second paper.

• Students who are writing Agricultural Engineering as primary paper can attempt Environmental Science as a second paper.

• Section 2: Environmental Chemistry

• Section 3: Environmental Microbiology

• Section 4: Water Resources and Environmental Hydraulics

• Section 5: Water & Wastewater Treatment and Management
