BARC ( Bhaba Atomic Research Centre) Training Schools provide two Training Schemes to deserving candidates ambitious of pursuing a rewarding career in Nuclear Science, Engineering, and Technology for those

1. Who would relish challenges in frontier areas of Science & Technology,

2. Who would like to be part of an expanding program of Nuclear Power / Research Reactors, Accelerators, and Nuclear Fuel Cycle Technologies

3. Who would enjoy pursuing innovative research in frontier areas of Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Bioscience, and Geology

They are respectively called Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates and Science Postgraduates (OCES) and DAE Graduate Fellowship Scheme for Engineering Graduates and Physics Postgraduates (DGFS).

1. One-year Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates and Science Postgraduates for the academic year 2021-2022 (OCES-2021) will be conducted at the five BARC Training Schools situated in Mumbai, Kalpakkam, Indore, and Hyderabad.

2. Two-Year DAE Graduate Fellowship Scheme for Engineering Graduates and Physics Postgraduates for the year

• Commencement of Online Application Process for OCES/DGFS-2021: 12th July 2021

• Last date for Registration for Online Application: 7th August 2021

• Online Examination: 5th September 2021 to 12th September 2021

• Selection Interviews: 4th October 2021- 29th October 2021

• Scientific Officer 'C' in the Level 10: ₹ 56,100 -₹ 95000

Eligibility Criteria

• Qualifying Degrees and Other Academic Requirements for OCES/DGFS-2021:

For Engineering Disciplines (codes ME (21), CH (22), MT(23), EE(24), EC(25), CS(26), IN(27), CE(28), NE(29) as per Table-1a), B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc. (Engineering) / 5-year Integrated M.Tech. with a minimum of 60%* aggregate marks in one of the engineering disciplines.

• Admission to DGFS:

Candidates having a qualifying degree in the Engineering disciplines (ME(21), CH(22), MT(23), EE(24), EC(25), CS(26), IN(27) & CE(28)) or in Physics (PH(41)) and who meet the corresponding eligibility criteria listed above are eligible to apply for DGFS provided they are selected for OCES-2021 and additionally secure admission for M.Tech./ M.Chem. Engg. starting in the academic year 2021 in select Institutes and in specializations listed

1. General Category - 26 years

2. OBC - 29 years

3. SC/ST - 31 years

How to Apply

• Only Online Applications will be accepted.

• Candidates are required to visit the website http://www.barconlineexam.in in the period July 12, 2021, to August 7, 2021, and submit an Online Application by following the instructions therein. Candidates are advised to read the ‘Information Brochure’ before applying here

Selection Procedure

Selection to OCES / DGFS - 2021 is a two-step process: Screening to short-list candidates followed by Selection Interviews of the short-listed candidates.

Screening for Selection Interviews is based on two alternative methods:

1. On the basis of Online Examination

2. On the basis of the GATE Score:

Online Exam Pattern

• The Online Exam questions are of objective type (multiple-choice questions with only one correct choice of the answer). Each correct answer fetches 3 marks, while each incorrect answer has a penalty of 1 mark (-1mark).

• There will be 100 questions in all. The questions are so designed that a good candidate will be able to answer 100 questions in 120 minutes.
